Bunch are about to launch their new book Bastardised, which celebrates their global identity project.
The project was born in 2007 out of Bunchâs need to re-brand. They approached designers and image-makers they admired and asked them to produce a âvisual reactionâ to their logo, sign it and return it. The resulting âBunchismsâ were incorporated into their stationery with care taken to choose relevant themes for the applications.
The success of the project is apparent through the long list of renowned international artists, designers and illustrators who took part. These include Malcolm Garrett, Jonathan Ellery, Paul Davis, Marian Bantjes, Stefan Sagmeister, James Goggin, Carlos Segura, Build, Paul Insect, David Quay, Vince Frost, Si Scott and Julian Morey.
The project has also been included the 2009 D&AD annual. The hardback, 208 page book was printed in Croatia by Kratis, published by Bunch and presents 289 âBunchismsâ specially selected from 750 contributions, with a foreword by cultural writer and author Liz Farrelly.
